Do we consider product quality?
Building the product in right quality - "building quality in" is essential, avoiding big disappointments at the end: failing features, lost transactions, breaking integrations, non-scaling platforms. Apart from continuous delivery, how much effort do you invest into building "clean code" right from the beginning? To which extent do you keep an eye on product quality or quality of service? Which practices do you apply within your product development?

How to get going
I have an idea, and now I want to go forward with it. What is my first step? How to setup a landing page? What's a low fidelity MVP? Whom to interview? How do I interview and record the data? etc.

Running the Spirit
Kicking of an idea usually starts in a highly motivated environment. But when the going gets tough, we tend to focus on the mechanics of our process, trying to meet the target by working even harder. In such situations things like continuous improvement and creative environments tend to taking a back seat.
What are the tools & techniques we can apply to avoid this trap? What works well? Maybe a chance even trying some things out or generating some new tools?

Leadership for Startups
Something (lean) startups might not look at in the first place is, how to grow the organization, when the idea turns out to be successful. Sometimes though, talking to investors, respective concepts have to be presented already early. So the question is, how can we grow a startup into a powerful organization, not loosing the initial spirit and not turning it into a bureaucratic vehicle. In this session people will share their approaches, ideas and possible resources for a kind of "Startup Leadership".

"Flower of service" approach to value capturing & adding features based on the customer/user interviews
Nowadays most start-ups focus on selling features rather than benefits and find out that is bad for business when it's too late. I consider this topic to be of extreme importance especially for Internet start-ups.

Batching work
I'd like to host a roundtable discussion on how we batch work. My feeling is that when it comes to Pomodoros, iterations, flow and batch sizing, knowing when each is appropriate would be useful. I'd love to hear how different people have done this. Who's up for joining me?

Great idea vs Market Opportunity
Before any inventor or would be entrepreneur starts building their company, they need some to do some solid market research. While some ideas may be 'novel' or 'cool' - its more important that there's actually a market for the product or service. Would like to share my experience on how best to calculate the 'market opportunity value' for any new business opportunity @conormckenna

Open discussion on the Identification and validation of unmet needs of people who suffer from homelessness.
I’d like to host an event on identifying and validating unmet needs of people who suffer from homelessness. I would like your help to open up a discussion on tools and techniques that can be used in this sector.
This project is at a very early stage, although I have discussed concepts with people who are homeless, I have yet to develop a Minimal Viable Product to test their uptake. The problems I am having are:
1. Identifying unmet needs that require little capital and result in scalable and sustainable products and services for people who are homeless.
2. Verifying…1 vote -
What is the added value of a sector specific incubator?
Most incubators have an open perspective on the types of startups they take up. I am exploring the possibilities for setting up an incubator specifically for food and agriculture startups.
I would like to do a post-up to reflect on possible advantages and disadvantages of a specialized incubator.Possible advantages:
For founders:
Faster testing of hypothesis:
- through quick access to specific knowledge (from peers, mentors, research institutions)
- through having a common language on the marketFor investors
- quicker assessment of novelty/viabilityPossible disadvantages:
- myopia
- missing out on collaboration with the broader startup eco-systemThanks,
@bdoorn

I'm wondering how @destraynor's Intercom could be used on @robfitz's whattowrite.org to help improve his funnel...
What To Write actually started out as a workshop, but when people do it online, a smaller percentage complete. What if Rob could chat with those people to find out what's going on? How could Intercom help here?

Engagement, Retention, and Churn. Getting your first 1K customers on board.
Based on my learnings both from working with start-ups as an outside consultant and working in two start-ups (first one acquired) this talk will cover the essence of traction. That is, getting your early users onboard, happy, and engaged.
Des writes regularly on the Intercom blog (http://blog.intercom.io) on the topics of engagement, retention, churn and customer service.
