I've learned from quite a few people using the Business Model Canvas in large orgs, but not people applying Lean and Agile primarily. I'd be interested in how these tests are structured to get buy-in and make people feel confident that they are productive and non-threatening.

An error occurred while saving the comment AdminSalim Virani (Admin, Leancamp) commentedA quick suggestion: I'd do this as a fishbowl discussion, and try to keep the focus on actual experiences - so that the best practices have a clear context.
Also, who suggested this? If this session is run, we'll need someone to volunteer to host it. (See Your Responsibilities at http://leanca.mp/getting-started)
Cheers,

Anyone else have something to share? (If not online, at the session?)

An error occurred while saving the comment AdminSalim Virani (Admin, Leancamp) commentedI think this is one of Eric Ries' the great contributions to entrepreneurs. Truly understanding how you'll grow sustainably, and learning how to get that right *early*, is a new approach for a lot of entrepreneurs I've met.

An error occurred while saving the comment AdminSalim Virani (Admin, Leancamp) commentedI've been speaking to a few entrepreneurship support and accelerator programs lately. Basically, I think that any support that can be offered pre-application should be, that applications should be removed altogether if possible, and accepting a success rate less than 100%, when measured in founders, is unacceptable. Some of my thoughts on this are here: http://leanca.mp/2011/12/entrepreneurship-support-an-entrepreneurs-perspective/ Happy to share them if you'd like. Alex Barrera and Jan Brinckmann have more experience than me though - have you considered inviting them to a round-table? I'd ask them over Twitter...

An error occurred while saving the comment AdminSalim Virani (Admin, Leancamp) commentedHi everyone - I'd like to suggest that we hone in on specific challenges we've had here, so that we can really cut into actionable advice for each other. Tirath, Nick, Kalina, John, I'm interested to know what you've tried and why.
Nicky or I would be happy to share our experiences with Leancamp here, if you'd like. Leancamp came about from trying to be helpful. really, by trying to make connections to benefit others first (and reaching out when necessary.) It was less about networks and more about people, so to me feels more framed around being inclusive to people, than assuming there's an exclusive network that needs to be penetrated somehow.
I think Rob Fitzpatrick and Eze Vidra might be good people to invite too, as they have useful stories to tell on this topic, and in particular, blogging in these scenarios. Rob came to London to get involved with the media industry, and Eze is established in quite a few places around the world.

An error occurred while saving the comment AdminSalim Virani (Admin, Leancamp) commentedI'm not sure if I'll have the time to run this session, but I'll propose it to some people I know who are familiar with Five Whys and others with TDD. If you are and would like to help host this session. (I think it would make sense as a Fishbowl http://leanca.mp/2012/01/formats-of-leancamp-sessions/ ) please volunteer in the comments.

An error occurred while saving the comment AdminSalim Virani (Admin, Leancamp) commentedSounds like this could be a really good discussion.
Just a suggestion - From what I've seen in the past, using real examples that people in the discussion are familiar with will help keep this actionable. I've seen some discussions turn into "this or that way is better" because they are generalising, but when you say, "well, what about for me in this case?" then people can be more constructive and solution focused.
If this is this an open discussion session, I'd also been keen to see all of the techniques and approaches to get raised. Are you planning on writing these down in any way? Maybe a Post Up? http://leanca.mp/2012/01/formats-of-leancamp-sessions/
Rob, we won't be able to stream but will do our best to record and publish the session later.
